9 weeks? Really? Time for a catch up!

Wow, I really can't believe it's been that long since I've posted here...I'm so sorry!
I've hardly sewn anything in the past couple of months, and I'm guessing that's why I haven't posted..plus since Jamie started Nursery at the end of September we've all been ill on and off - kids seem to pick up the best germs, don't they? And being the well mannered son that he is, he loves to share lol!
It culminated in us all having dreadful flu all over Christmas, and I seem to be only now getting over the ensuing chest infection...great fun!

So anyway, to the sewing...
First up, Jamie needed a costume for his Christmas show at Nursery...they needed a plain white top and trousers, so I decided to sew the raglan tee (long sleeve) and the kickin' back sweats from the 'Sewing for Boys' book from sweatshirt fabric - I figured as it's winter it would keep him warm, too!

Then, it was end of term and time for teacher gifts. I made oilcloth-covered notepads and hand warmers (great for winters in the playground!)

I thought I'd have a go at making some Christmas tree decorations this year...being ill, I only made two, and as they were hand sewn (and those of you who read regularly know what my hand sewing is like lol!) they're not the best...but I like them!

Then today, I made Jamie a case for his Leapster2 that he got for Christmas - he likes to leave it laying around and I could see it getting broken or the games getting lost, so I made this!

He's very happy with it!

Also, I've started doing a 365 project this year too...so I'll be making a page on the blog here and posting my daily pictures there - that way I won't clog up my main page and you can choose whether to look or not!

So, that's me all caught up - I really hope you all had a fantastic (and healthy lol!) Christmas and New Year - here's to a craft-filled 2012!

Getting an early start...

Well for some reason, (and trust me, this NEVER happens!), I'm making an early start on things for that most dreaded of C-words... CHRI...
